Fra gli altri, dovrebbero esserci Andy Schleck, Voigt, Burghardt, Petacchi e Zabel.
Quantomeno sono iscritti, poi si vedrà. ____________________

Petacchi ha la febbre e rinuncia a Colonia
Ieri ha concluso la Sanremo con le gambe vuote e in serata il termometro ha detto perché: 40 di febbre per Alessandro Petacchi e la rinuncia alla trasferta di Colonia, dove lo spezzino avrebbe dovuto gareggiare domani.

Tra i partenti ci dovrebbero essere tra gli altri Voigt, Andy Schleck, Van Huffel, Ciolek, Burghardt, Greipel, Vaitkus, Zabel, Pollack, Lhotellerie, Wesemann e Kopp. Un ottimo gruppo.
Su cyclingstartlist.com sono citati anche Petacchi (che però ha la febbre) e Linus Gerdemann che visto la brutta caduta patita alla Tirreno non penso proprio possa correre.....

Il beneficio del dubbio stavolta puoi anche ometterlo!
Gerdemann dovrà star fermo per almeno un mese e mezzo, e il ritorno alle competizioni comporta un periodo di riadattamento supplementare, quindi...  ____________________

Rund um Köln cancelled
Rund um Köln celebrated two things today: it was the 100th year of the race which was first held in September of 1908, and it was the first time that it had to be canceled due to snow. While the two world wars have already led to cancellations in the past, this was the first weather-related one. Race director Rudi Altig went out on the course for a final check of the conditions around noon. Because snow showers were still happening and the roads were covered in snow and ice, he decided to cancel the race.
Initially, the organisers had decided to celebrate the anniversary by making the race a little harder than in previous years. For the 100th edition on Easter Monday, 2008, the riders were to face a hilly parcours of 205 kilometres, with the Bensberg climb coming approximately 23 kilometres from the finish.
But what the organisers hadn't planned for was the weather. After an extremely mild winter, snow has finally arrived in Germany, making for a white Easter. What troubled the traffic over the weekend, with many accidents happening on the famed 'Autobahn', has now caught up with the cyclists as well. The move from its regular April date did not fare well with the race.
Shortly before the peloton was to take off at 10:45 from the BayArena football stadium in Leverkusen this morning, a delay was announced. The teams were to meet again at 12:00, to check if a start at 12:15 would be possible, on a modified 150-kilometre course and leaving out most of the hills. However, Altig decided to cancel altogether, after going out on the course again.
The last-minute cancellation of Alessandro Petacchi (Milram), due to sickness, meant the Italian saved some travels, which would have been in vain. Petacchi's team-mate Erik Zabel had won the race twice, in 1996 and 2004, and was extra motivated, being the lone team leader for the squad.
Defending champion Juan José Haedo (Team CSC) also didn't make it to the start, but the cancellation left Haedo's team-mate Jens Voigt without the possibility of his trademark breakaway on home soil. The riders did not even make it to the start, staying in the warmth of their hotels until the cancellation was officially announced, around 12:30
