The Relax-Fuenlabrada team says that, after having passed the health tests prior to the Vuelta España, the rider Oscar Laguna has been declared unfit on the grounds of applying the so-called “Australian method”, according to the results obtained using the UCI’s analyser.
Various analytical tests carried out on the 23th of this month did not show any kind of anomaly indicating that he might not be declared fit.
As of tomorrow, the rider will be subjected to the necessary analytical studies in order to clarify the discrepancy between these initial results and those which have caused his expulsion (specifically, the reticulocyte count).
Meanwhile, the cyclist will continue to be out of his team.

Laguna me lo ricordo abbastanza forte alla Vuelta del 2001 dove sfioro' la vittoria nella tappa vinta da Beat Zberg,e poi in quella del 2002 quando arrivo 2° dietro Smetanine in una tappa caratterizzata da molte cadute.poi effettivamente non si e' piu' visto,eccetto nella tappa della Vuelta di Aragona dell'anno scorso dove batte' in volata un certo Ivan Parra
